Rudolph was born 1842. He died 1922. He was buried in St. Paul's Union Church Of Christ Cemetery.

He served in Co. K, 134th Pennsylvania Volunteers. He was at Antietam, Fredericksburg and Chancellorsville. He was a musician.

He had a farm near Chicora, Pennsylvania in 1873 and one of the first wells drilled was on his property, producing 1,400 barrels a day. In later years, he owned a store in Petersville, now called Connoquenessing.

He is one candidate for the Rudolph Barnhart who was justice of the peace in Connoquenessing in 1891.
