Peter was born 1845. He died 26 Jun 1920. He was buried in St. John's Reformed Church Cemetery, Fairview Twp., Butler Co., Pennsylvania.

He was a school teacher in Connoquenessing Twp. Either this Peter or his cousin, son of Michael Barnhart, seem to be the likely candidates for the Peter Barnhart who served with the 169th Regiment during the Civil War.

Peter never married.
