Benjamin went to Wayne Co., Ohio in 1863 and then to Pike Twp., Stark Co in 1870. He was a mail carrier between Akron and Canton. In 1874 he went to Navarre and took charge of the Rochester House. Later he purchased the Navarre House or Reed House. In 1880 Benjamin was a hotel landlord in Bethlehem Twp., Stark Co., Ohio. In 1900 he lived in Stark Co., Ohio. He was not found in the Census of 1910 or 1920.
