Orlando was born 26 Sep 1858 in Appleton, Licking Co., Ohio. He was baptised 29 Sep 1860. He died 6 Mar 1934 in St. Albans Twp., Licking Co., Ohio. He was buried in Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown, Licking Co., Ohio.
In the spring of 1880, they went by train with their furniture and livestock to Kansas. At that time people could take their animals in the railroad cars.
Although the land was very fertile, tornadoes, grasshoppers, chinch bugs, and droughts soon cooled their enthusiasm in this new land, and after a few years, they returned to Licking Co., Ohio.
