Alfred was born 6 Oct 1845 in Perry Co., Ohio. He died 5 Aug 1933 in Ada, Hardin Co., Ohio (near). He was buried in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Ada, Ohio.

Alfred's parentage is not definite. However, his death certificate lists Jacob as his father and Sarah Forsythe as his sister. He was born two months after his father's marriage to Nancy Wagoner. Since Jacob and Nancy's first child is also named Alfred, it leads one to believe that Nancy was unaware of the existence of this child.

Shorftly after their marriage, they moved to Indiana. In 1880, they were living in Monroe Twp., Delaware Co., Indiana, but in later years they moved back to Ohio, settling in Hardin Co.

Alfred married #13637 Eva Smith.

Eva was born 15 Sep 1847. She died 20 Jan 1933. She was buried in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Ada, Ohio.

She is the daughter of George & Mary Magdalina (Fisher) Smith/Schmidt.
