Dorothy was born 22 Sep 1914 in Sharonville, Ohio. She died 22 Sep 2006 in Falls Church, Virginia. She was buried 27 Sep 2006 in National Memorial Park, Falls Church, Virginia.

When she was 16 years old, the family moved to Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from Ohio State University in 1936, with a BS in Business Administration and Foreign Trade.

In 1938, they moved to New York, where Kenneth was employed at the New York Naval Shipyard as an engineer, later becoming supervisor of the Diesel Section and Head of the Vibration and Engine Dynamics Department in the Materials Laboratory. While living in New York, Dorothy attended Queens College for two years, studying library science.

In 1959, they moved to Falls Church, Virginia and Kenneth took a position as an aerospace engineer, later Head of the Systems Evaluation Branch of NASA.

Since about about 1961, Dorothy has been librarian for St. Michael's Church Library in Annandale, Virginia. She is a member of the DAR, is very active in genealogical projects for the DAR Library in Washington, DC and has compiled several genealogical books.

Dorothy married #13885 Kenneth Raymond Mercy.

Kenneth was born 14 Aug 1912 in Newark, New Jersey. He died 3 Feb 1985.

He is the son of Joseph & Estelle (Bonnell) Mercy.

Kenneth was a mechanical engineer and graduate of Ohio State University in 1935.
