Margaret May (Hawkins) Pierce was born July 27, 1927 in Liberal, Kansas died May 17, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Clifton Roland (Tippy) Hawkins & Carrie Louise Cayton.Margaret graduated at Texhoma High School in Texhoma, Oklahoma in 1944. She attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, Oklahoma and graduated in 1948. She married Robert W. Pierce on June 13,1948 in Texhoma, Oklahoma. To this union 3 children, Tippy William Pierce 1951, Peggy Ann Pierce 1953, Malissie Louise Pierce 1962; Margaret taught school in Texhoma, OK side and then on the Texas side of Texhoma also. She taught at Gruver, Texas and Channing, Texas. She retired in 1975. Margaret and Robert (Bob) lived in Chickasha, OK in 1949 and then moved to Texhoma in 1950. They moved to Moore, OK in December 1990. They celebrated their 50th Anniversary June 13, 1998. She was a member of Eastern Star in Texhoma, Oklahoma. She was a member of Draper Park Christian Church, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert W. Pierce; daughter, Malissie Louise Pierce; brother, Samuel Roland Hawkins and her son-in-law, Roy J. Cloukia; two great-nephews, Rusty Don and Brock Allen Hawkins.
She is survived by her children, Tippy W. Pierce & Martha Jane Pierce, daughter, Peggy Ann Pierce Cloukia; grandchildren, Melissa Pierce and husband, Dr. William Hoolihan, Brandon Pierce and wife, LeeAnn, Mike Pierce and wife, Sheara; great-grandchildren, Dylan Peterson, Jesse Clark, Brendon Pierce, Baylor Pierce, Kameron Betancourt, Mason Pierce, Marissa Pierce, Blayde Pierce; brother, Gary L. Hawkins and wife Helen; niece, Carmen Jean Hawkins Harkins, Rick Harkins; nephew, Gary D. Hawkins, Zachary Hawkins; great-nephews, Jeremy Hawkins, Ryan Harkins; great-niece, Rachel Hawkins; two twins great-great-nieces, Shelby Elaine and Emma Harkins who were born on her birthday 2006, Maci Dawn Harkins; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Hawkins; three nephews, Brad and Terry Hawkins, his son, Trevor and Bri Hawkins; two great-great-nieces, Adelaide Hawkins and Isla Harkins; her great-nieces and nephews, Sarah Hawkin, David Hawkins, Phil and Tina Hawkins, and numerous cousins and friends.
