Eli was born Feb 1824/1826 in Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania. He died 24 Oct 1903 in Topeka, Kansas.
He served with the Illinois Infantry in the Civil War.
In 1860, they lived in Rock Island Co., Illinois where he was a blacksmith. From 1870 to 1874, the lived in Kansas, then moved back to Pennsylvania, where they stayed until 17 Feb 1880. They then moved to Kansas, settling in Liberty Twp., Woodson Co. where George was a farmer.
