His last name was spelled "Rau" on his baptismal certificate.
In 1859, he went to Missouri, then returned to Pennsylvania. At one time he worked on the railroad in Virginia. Later in life he was a butter and egg salesman. In 1880, he and his family were living in Foxburg, Clarion Co., Pennsylvania. In 1900, they were living in Allegheny, Pennsylvania.
Caleb married #23705 Agnes J. Thompson.
