Bud was born 29 Jul 1909 in Family homestead, Moreau River, Perkins Co., South Dakota. He died 13 Mar 1986 in Melbourne, Florida.
He moved with his parents to Wisconsin. In 1922, he returned to South Dakota and worked for various ranches. Later, he worked in the blacksmith shop owned by his father-in-law in Faith, South Dakota. In 1936, he and his family moved to Sturgis, South Dakota. During World War II, he worked at the Mare Island Navy Yard in Vallejo, California. He returned to Sturgis in 1945 and operated a service station. In the early 1950's, they moved to Rapid City, South Dakota. In 1961, the moved to Newcastle, Wyoming where he was a supervising engineer for the Weston Co. Memorial Hospital until 1972, when they returned to Rapid City.
