Robert was born 25 Jun 1927 in Glenford, Perry Co., Ohio. He died 21 Apr 2007. He was buried in Highland Cemetery, Glenford, Perry Co., Ohio.
He moved to New Lexington around 1936 when his parents became superintendents of the Perry Co. Children's Home. He graduated from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II with the Pacific Fleet and remained in the Naval Reserve afterwards. He was a teacher at Lakewood Junior High and Licking Valley and retired from the U.S. Postal Service, Mount Vernon.
