Howard was born 5 Jul 1908 in Ft. Collins, Colorado. He died Jul 1990 in Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon.
He was a Navy Hospitalman/Pharmacist Mate during World War II, and assisted in the evacuation of Bikini Atoll prior to the dropping of the Atom Bomb there.
He re-enlisted and was stationed at Yokosuka, Japan on the USS St. Croix hospital ship receiving and treating the most seriously wounded during the Korean Campaign.
