Jennie was born 1831. She died Feb 1923. She was buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

She never married. She lived most of her life in the Mechlin-Wagner House. In 1921, at the observance of the 85th anniversary of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Mary Jane was commended for having been a member of the congregation for 73 years. It was believed to be a record unsurpassed in any other church in Germantown.
