Darla Hogan, 63, lifelong panhandle resident, passed away Wednesday evening, August 20, 2014 at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County.

The daughter of Sam and Minnie (Elliott) Cayton, she was born July 20, 1951 in Guymon. Darla attended the Plainview school in the Griggs Community, graduated from the Keyes High School with the Class of 1969, and graduated from Panhandle State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1973.

She was united in marriage to Bruce Hogan on August 16, 1974 in Griggs, Oklahoma. Darla was a homemaker, attended the First Assembly of God, and had worked for Homeland and United Supermarket for over 23 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Terry Cayton.

Survivors include her husband, Bruce Hogan of the home; six children: Alicia and husband, Mike Wilburn of Cashion, Oklahoma, Jeremy Hogan and wife, Jennifer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Pamela and husband, Nathan Warden of Moore, Oklahoma, Amanda and husband, Anthony King of Mustang, Oklahoma, Laura Hogan of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Rev’s Cory Hogan and wife, Angela of Guanajuato, Mexico. Survivors also include thirteen grandchildren: Kaylee, Logan, Anthony, Blake, Mason, Kaleb, Corbin, Shawn, Rebekah, Norah, Zachary, Kherington, and Kimber; three brothers: Dean Cayton and wife, Mary of Tyrone, Oklahoma, Wendell Cayton and wife, Taletha of Keyes, Oklahoma, and Curtis Cayton and wife, Tangee of Keyes, Oklahoma, one sister-in-law, Lois Cayton of Boise City, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews.
