o Ann (Ranger) Hochstetler, age 90, of Lyons, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her sleep early Sunday, October 27, 2013, in the Parkcliffe Community. Jo Ann was born June 27, 1923, to the late Arthur and Caroline Ranger at their home near Lyons, and lived in the Lyons area the rest of her life. Jo Ann graduated from Lyons High School and attended Adrian Collage. On March 8, 1944, she married Gaylord G. Hochstetler and had one son, Rodney.

Jo Ann spent most of her life as a housewife. Gaylord and Jo Ann ran a farmland tour in Florida for many years. They traveled extensively in the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii. They had also been to Europe on a couple occasions.

Jo Ann was a life-long member of the Lyons Christian Church. She served in many capacities, as Sunday school teacher, vacation Bible school teacher, and group leader. She was a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship, the Lyons Literary League, the Lyons Historical Society, Lyons Senior Citizens, and the Adrian Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by her son, Rodney; sisters-in-law, Virge Fether and Arlean (Carlton) Felger; special nieces, nephews, and friends, Betty Champion, Judy Chase, and Classie Goldsmith, and special pet, Timmy

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Helen Earles.

Jo married #42219 Gaylord Glenn Hochstetler.

Gaylord was born Abt 1916. He died 21 Oct 2004. He was buried in Lyons Cemetery, Lyons, Ohio.

He is the son of Glenn & Emma Hochstetler of Fayette, Ohio. He graduated from Fayette High School in 1936. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the Lyons Christian Church serving as elder and was involved in many other church activities. He managed with his wife, Jo Ann, the Zellwood Farm Tours in Zellwood, Florida. Gaylord also was an avid aviator and received his pilot license in 1976. At the time of his death he was the president of the Lyons Historical Society and he managed the recycling center in Lyons, Ohio. He also was a member of the Lyons Seniors.
