Cal was born 16 Jan 1899 in Schenley, Armstrong Co., Pennsylvania. He died 31 Jan 1966 in Kittanning, Armstrong Co., Pennsylvania. He was buried in Center Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Kittanning, Armstrong Co., Pennsylvania.
At age 17 he left high school and eloped with Jennie. They had three children: Elizabeth Belle, Margaret Marie and Calvin Alexander, Jr.
By 1940 Calvin had a car dealership in Ford City. His daughter, Peggy, worked as bookkeeper and his son, Calvin Jr., as salesman.
