George was born 7 Feb 1776. He was baptised 10 Mar 1776 in Harrrold Zion Lutheran Church, Hempfield Twp., Pennsylvania. He died 30 Mar 1833.
Sources differ quite a bit on their children. Some list Magdalena, Jacob, George, and Andrew. Others list Elizabeth, George, Catherine, Sarah, Douglas, and Mary. I've included all for the moment, even though Catherine would have been skirting menopause on some of the birth years. Also note that two of the children are listed as born in 1833, the year that George died in March. If all these children are correct, it would mean that one was born at the very beginning of the year and that Catherine got pregnant again shortly thereafter.
I have the gravest doubts about Douglas. He is listed in [Baumgarten] as a child of George & Catherine. However, [Baumgarten] also lists a Douglas Rosensteel, born in the same year, as a grandchild of George & Catherine through their daughter, Mary. I suspect these are duplications and, given ages and marriage years, this child belongs under Mary.
