#10477 William H. Barnhart ( David BarnhartJohann Wilhelm "William" BernhardtCasper Bernhardt )

William was born Abt 1827 in Hempfield Twp., Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania. He died 21 Mar 1887 in Greensburg, Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania. He was buried in Greensburg, Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania.

On the 1870 census he is the head of household and his mother lives with him. There is also an Elizabeth Barnhart, age 35. There is no sign of his wife, Mary. Perhaps she died and this Elizabeth is William's sister, though [Barnhart/Warter] would place her age at about 39 instead of 35. Alternatively, it may be a second wife though it would be unusual to have the wife listed after William's mother. There is also a child, Adison Barnhart, age 5, living in the family. I've tentatively assigned him as William's son (perhaps Mary died in childbirth?).

He was originally buried in the Old German Cemetery in Greensburg but her remains were moved to plot C-240 of Union Cemetery.

William married #15106 Mary Rumbaugh.
