Irene C. Dell, 87, of Derry, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. She was born Sept. 5, 1918, in Coral, a daughter of the late Earl and Esther Weaver Stouffer.

She is survived by her two sons, Byron R. "Mike" and wife Susan, Latrobe, and Donald B. and wife Dorothy, Loyalhanna; two daughters, Shirley M. Connor, New Derry, and Bonnie L., Derry; a brother, Donald Stouffer, Greensburg; two sisters, Dorothy Petro, Youngstown, Pa., and Thelma Anderson and husband Dean, Derry; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. "Sugar" Dell; two brothers, Floyd and Everett Stouffer; two sisters, Ruth Ruffner and Marjorie Stiles; a grandson, Shawn Connor; and her son-in-law, Edward "Split" Connor Jr.

Friends were received at the McCabe Funeral Home, Derry, where a service was held Thursday with the Rev. Father Stephen C. West officiating.

Interment followed in Coles Cemetery, Derry Township.
