He movd to Indiana around 1864 with his family. Peter had been a Justice of the Peace, a member of the Knights of Pythias and the Methodist Episcopal Church. In 1897, he went by motorcycle from his home in Indiana to visit relatives in Fairfield Co., Ohio. He gathered family history, which he put into a journal and kept the journal updated until about 1913.
