The 1860 Census of Unity Twp., Pennsylvania shows him as a farmer in his mother's household.

A listing of the gravestones in St. Paul's Reformed and Lutheran Ridge Churches Union Cemetery in Trauger, Pennsylvania shows several Andrew White graves with dates consistent with him. Trauger is not far from where the White farm was believed to be.

with dates of 17 Apr 1840 to 21 Sep 1861. This is consistent with our Andrew, though Mt. Pleasant is some 8-10 miles from Unity Twp, and I've seen no other Andrew Whites in this immediate area. However, a doubt exists because a Mary White, wife of Andrew White, 20 Dec 1838 to 11 Sep 1864 is buried a little ways away. The 1860 census showed Andrew at home with his mother and no record of a wife.
