William was born 14 Jun 1847 in Pickaway Co., Ohio. He died 7 Mar 1917 in Harrison Twp., Kosciusko Co., Indiana from stomach cancer. He was buried in Pleasant View Cemetery, Prairie Twp., Kosciusko Co., Indiana.

In 1880 they lived in Prairie Twp. and in 1900 William was a farmer in Prairie Twp., Kosciusko Co., Indiana. In 1920 Martha lived with daughter and son-in-law, George and Lela Burt.

The Gosherts also had a foster son, John Norris (7 May 1887-3 Feb 1971). He was the son of Albert & Ellen (McDonald) Norris. His father was an English sailor and his mother worked in a garment factory several miles from home. She froze to death on her walk home from work. Three of the children were brought to Warsaw, Indiana by train with 30 or more other orphan children from Boston, Massachusetts area. The Gosherts took him as a foster son. He married Grace Marie Klinger and had six children.

Martha was born 18 Apr 1856 in Prairie Twp., Kosciusko Co., Indiana. She died 25 Jun 1930 in Warsaw, Kosciusko Co., Indiana. She was buried in Pleasant View Cemetery, Prairie Twp., Kosciusko Co., Indiana.

She is the daughter of Daniel & Sarah (Bolenbaugh) Huffer.
