On the 1850 census he is living in Lamar Twp., Clinton Co., Pennsylvania. His mother and his nephew, James, are living with the family. He is a cradle maker.
On the 1860 census he is still in Lamar Twp.
By the 1870 census the family has moved to Oakland Twp., Venango Co., Pennsylvania. His profession is more fully explained as a grain cradle manufacturer.
On the 1880 census they are still in Oakland Twp.

Dina was born Abt 1829 in Pennsylvania.
On the 1850 census her name appears to be Lena. On the 1860 census her name is Charity. On the 1870 census it is Deanna. On the 1880 census she is Dinah.
