The birth date of 18 May is taken from the SSDI. His World War I Draft Registration gives it as 15 May.
He appears on the 1910 Census of Manhattan, New York, living with his parents and working as a dry goods peddler. It shows he immigrated in 1905.
His draft registration says he was of medium height and build with black hair and brown eyes. He had lost the use of his left arm.
On the 1920 Census he is living in one unit of a three-family home owned by his brother, Henry. It shows he immigrated in 1908 and was naturalized in 1917. He is a merchant in a dry goods store.
On the 1930 Census they are in the Bronx. Here his year of immigration is shown as 1907. He owns a furniture store. They own their home at 1565 Selwyn Ave., which is apparently a two-family, and are renting the other unit to the extended family of a Harry & Gussie Cohen.
On the 1940 Census, they are still at 1565 Selwyn Ave. in the Bronx, but they are now shown as renters rather than owners. The amount they pay has dropped from a $2,700 equity to a $75 rent. Perhaps they lost ownership of it during the Depression. His in-laws still live with them, as do their children. He lists his occupation as Manager Ret. Furniture, which I take to mean a retired manager of a furniture store.

According to the 1920 Census, she immigrated in 1900 and was naturalized in 1917.
On the 1930 Census, her year of immigration is 1899. Her name is spelled Sadye here. Her approximate birth year has crept ahead by a year or two.
On the 1940 Census, her birth has moved further ahead to Abt 1900. Her birth place changes to Poland.
