Daniel was born 31 Jan 1827. He died 19 Feb 1865 from wounds in the Civil War.

He accepted $300 to act as a replacement for a drafted man who had a family in the Civil War. He served with Co. K, 206th Regt., Pennsylvania Volunteers. His brothers, William and Abraham, did the same. Abraham was the only one who came home.

Daniel married #55113 Christine Forringer.

Christine was born 2 Mar 1898.

Those were tough times for a widow; it must have been heart-breaking to have 5 of your six daughters die before the age of 13. She married a second time to Daniel and had seven children whose names are not known.
