#60748 Phoeba Copeland ( John CopelandWilliam Copeland )

Phoeba was born Abt 1806 in Pennsylvania. She died in Edinburgh, Johnson Co., Indiana. She was buried in Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburgh, Johnson Co., Indiana.

On the 1850 Census, Henry, Phoeba and their family are living in North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. They are indexed as Loster in Ancestry.com. Phoeba's father and brother, William, are living with them. There are also three other boys in the household. Since the census taker did not put surnames on each individual, it is difficult to determine if these are more children of Henry & Phoeba, or if these are children fostering in the household. Their ages — 10, 8, 3 — fit nicely below the first five children.

The first of these is listed as "W. H. Harrison" which might imply a surname change the way Copeland did below that. In this case, Finley and Thomas would be Harrisons. However, if we speculate that this boy is named after the ninth president of the United States, those might all be given names and his full entry should be read as W. H. Harrison Foster, with Finley and Thomas following.

Phoeba married #65575 William Delong "Henry" Foster.
