He is a machinist on the 1920 Census. The entries in FindAGrave list this John Engle, son of Harvey Bruce Boring Engle, as having children David and Twila. Working back up from the childrens' entries, it has his wife as Margaret Askins, who is 25 years his senior. I don't believe this is a correct identification of wife or children. There is a John (b. Abt 1888) & Margaret Engle on the 1920 Census in Cherryhill Twp., Indiana Co., Pennsylvania with those children but that John is not this one. Ours was living at home with his parents in Indiana, Indiana Co., Pennsylvania along with a Eliza and Helen. Since three isn't a picture of the grave marker to check if a birth date is provided, I don't know if the grave belongs to our John Engle or not.

In 1930 they have moved to Rayne, Indiana Co. and he is working as a machinist for a coal company. In 1940 they are still in Rayne. Helen and her children are with them but her husband is elsewhere (marriage code M7), perhaps in the military.
